Beginning September 2009

This yearlong residency will feature lecture/demonstrations, workshops, and coachings for music students in the SB area, and recitals by the BPQ at the Staller Center for the Arts and in the community. Through workshops and coachings, the BPQ will enrich and advance the chamber music experience of the young music students enrolled in the Pre-College Music Program. The quartet will also present lecture-demonstrations aimed at introducing chamber music to string students in the orchestra programs of local public schools.

Des Moines, IA
February 16-21, 2010

This is a week-long residency where the BPQ will be visiting public schools in the Des Moines and West Des Moines area.  The quartet will also work with the string players of the Greater Des Moines Youth Symphonies.  This residency will culminate in a public performance at the Des Moines Art Center.

Bennington, VT
March 10-13, 2010

This 3-day residency will take place at the Bennington Elementary School in Bennington, VT.  The BPQ will present 2 demonstration/presentations for all students, visit grades K-5 individually and give a performance for the students, parents and community, which will be followed by an instrumental petting zoo.
